At its best, a country holiday is about reconnecting with nature and discovering the beauty of the landscape around you. Castlemaine offers endless opportunities to do just that, with bushland, rolling hills, swimming holes and historic landmarks waiting to be explored in every season.
These beautiful landscapes have inspired generations of artists, walkers, cyclists and nature lovers and offer a perfect antidote to busy city life.
Your outdoor adventures begin right here at BIG4 Castlemaine Gardens Holiday Park. Overlooking a gently flowing creek, the Castlemaine Botanical Gardens and a natural bushland reserve, our park is surrounded by nature. In fact, the park was once part of the Botanical Gardens when they were designed in the 1860s, and we’re proud to have the original heritage-listed Caretaker’s Residence on site.
When you arrive, take a leisurely stroll through the Gardens beneath magnificent trees before settling into the park and enjoying the sounds of birdsong and nature around you. Then start planning your next adventure, whether that’s a scenic walk, a long bike ride, a refreshing swim or simply taking to the road to discover the region’s stunning natural beauty.
