A Springtime Visit

Castlemaine and Central Victoria are magical in spring

Castlemaine and Central Victoria are magical in spring. The days are perfect for long bushwalks, bike rides and lazy picnics, and the evenings are still cool enough to enjoy a hearty barbecue or a warming country-style dinner at a local pub. There are wildflowers and wattle throughout the bush, heritage roses in the gardens, wonderful spring produce to enjoy from the region’s farmers’ markets or at our cafes and restaurants, great live music happening at pubs and beer gardens, and magnificent spring gardens to admire.

There is also a vibrant and busy schedule of outstanding festivals and events that includes the best of local and international folk music, a range of magnificent open gardens to explore and family fun at an old-fashioned country agricultural show. Yes, there is always something for everyone!

Stay at BIG4 Castlemaine Gardens Holiday Park and you’ll be perfectly positioned to explore not only Castlemaine itself, but also nearby destinations such as Bendigo, Daylesford, Maldon and the wider Central Victoria region.

Come and enjoy the springtime magic on offer and discover why it’s such a very special time to visit, Read on for some of spring favourites and be sure to also visit our Local Events page for key events and festivals.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Wonderful park set in a picturesque location. The park itself is beautifully maintained and a short walk to the Mills complex and an excellent pub. Staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. We've stayed a couple of times now on an ensuite site and have highly recommended this park to friends and family. Looking forward to our next visit.
